Ppls also want more server in the current EU region, and they have to understand there wont be a problem if we do not have cross server AH / raids, etc. Ppls are mad on amazon to create new region for EU. Im sure this info wont be publicly available, unless someone from amazon leak it out to friends and then spred across the community. TBH i do not even remember if i even seen any game who published the player cap on the servers. Beside this u can not really have any benefitial reason to know the exact numbers. Why is it good to know the server player cap? Well if the server cap is EXAMPLE 5K player and u sitting on a queue with 17K players then u can see how it will goes, or again EXAMPLE if the server cap is 50K and u sitting on 17K queue with others u also can see how it will goes. They are current online player counts on all region together. Is there a maximum amount of players allowed per server, and if so what is it?įirst of all do not forget the steamchart numbers are not the total player base who created characters in game. With these three points, I ask the question. If “more servers need to be created if needed” has been the official answer, that means that there technically is some sort of implied* cap somewhere, even if only a “soft” cap to prevent lag serverside. If there is no max amount of players, and only channels to continually segment players on a given server, it would be fair to at least publicly have this integer known for numerous reasons, for the same reason as number 1. (looking at you fellow 50-60 hour week workers) This allowed everyone to play together, and expect queues if they wanted a more populous server. Reflecting back on the New World release, it was clear, and it prompted players to pick servers that had lower population so they were able to queue. If there is a max amount of players allowed per server at any given time, I think it would be fair to at least publicly have this integer known for the player-base. The reason I am curious pretty much revolves around three points. I am not trying to be pompous or anything here, but if we note that the New World release was littered with queues, and eventually servers were merged down from the sets they were in, it would be comforting to know the amount of players allowed per server. Whatever the reason may be, however, it’s clear that CS: GO has achieved a timeless quality almost unmatched by its peers, and will likely sustain its massive player base for years to come.I have seen this question asked and the answer given was “We will create more servers if population of players needs it,” but not really answer the question. Other possible explanations include the ongoing CS: GO esports tournament IEM Katowice in Poland and the fact that CS: GO is the only non-restricted trading game on the market, meaning players have freer reign to use bot farms. Today we’re excited to ship the Revolution Case, the Espionage Sticker Capsule, and the ULTIMATE music kit from /7N0wP4Qlcl In addition to the Revolution case, a new Espionage Sticker Capsule with 21 new stickers and a music kit with songs from rapper Denzel Curry’s Melt My Eyez See the Future is also available. This spike in players could be attributed to Valve recently releasing its first new case for the game since July 2022, titled “Revolution,” which features two of the game’s most picked weapons as part of its top-tier rewards. CS: GO still remains Steam’s largest title today, surpassing the franchise it originally branched off from. The Counter-Strike series began in 1999 as a mod for Valve’s Half-Life, becoming popular enough that Valve would buy the rights and hire its co-creators to develop a full-fledged release. The game has been “dying” for 10 years /LFDb8cpI5y CS: GO remains one of four Steam games to have one million concurrent players, along with PUBG: Battleground, DOTA 2, and Lost Ark.ġ0 years after its release CSGO still broke its all time player base record According to the SteamCharts website, on February 11 CS: GO had 1,320,219 players online at the same time, breaking the previous number of 1,311,807 set three years prior. However, just this weekend CS: GO has proven the enduring strength of its lasting impact and community by breaking its all-time concurrent players record.
